crystals on the pane
hide the ivory aura
that surrounds the moon;

arctic garden paths
that seem to howl
with Dire Wolves
and late winter ice.

Thickness of glass
between fractured petals
and fingertips
separates a cold tear from frost

soon to burn
inside the touch of the sun.
